Why do I need an apostille on my passport?
A passport is always included in the list of documents that may be required from a foreigner, because this is the main document that certifies a person’s identity. However, in other countries it has no legal force. In order for a passport to be recognized abroad, it is necessary to legalize it. For this purpose there is Apostille - a special seal that gives the documents legal force in the countries participating in the Hague Convention. Thus, the passport will receive an official status in a foreign country.
Apostille affixing on the passport is necessary in such cases:
Where is the Apostille put?
The Apostille stamp is placed only on a notarized copy of the passport! It is impossible to put an Apostille on the original!
To affix an Apostille, it is necessary to make a notarized copy and translation of all pages of the passport or an extract of the main page of the passport, certified by a notary. Further, the apostille is affixed in the Ministry of Justice.
This procedure is not simple, so we recommend contacting the specialists of UST Group – we will help you to make a notarized copy and affix an apostille professionally and in the shortest possible time!
